A secret hideaway tucked behind a historic storefront on Hollywood Boulevard, Hemingway’s Lounge is a classy place to sip a signature cocktail and enjoy vintage surroundings. With high ceilings, two rooms lined with books, a unique beverage menu and cool artsy crowd, this old school bar and lounge is ideal for a relaxing night out with friends.
For artisan cocktails with a side of American literature, Hemingway’s on Hollywood Boulevard fits the bill. Named after one of the country’s greatest authors, Ernest Hemingway, this lounge and bar evokes a bygone era with vintage décor, a themed menu and walls lined with classic books. Small and dark, this old school venue features two rooms: a chill space for hanging out in the front and a larger main room in back. Along with the library-like surroundings, you’ll also find 57 vintage typewriters showcasing Hemingway’s best quotes, along with Impressionist art, cozy velvet banquettes and a wood and marble bar. Tucked behind a restored historic storefront, the lounge is a secret hideaway and respite from Hollywood flash. Cocktails like "Death in the Afternoon" and “The Sun Also Rises†are named after the author’s greatest works, and small bites are served early in the evening. Sample a unique brew or hang out until late when the DJ comes on and the vibe gets turned up. Bartenders dressed in vintage apparel complete the throwback atmosphere, and the high ceilings give the venue a classy look. At Hemingway’s the crowd is artsy and edgy, mostly in their 20s and 30s – and you can bet that you’ll meet at least one writer dreaming of fame a la Hemingway.
