For beach cities locals, Ocean Bar has definitely become a nightlife and eating staple for its ambiance and convenience. Patrons eat and drink in the lounge, or downstairs at Abigaile's (same owner), which also has a brewery. After dinner, the fun begins on the outdoor terrace and the patio. The scene is good for a fun night with friends or a date, which contributes to its popularity.
If you've never been out in downtown Hermosa Beach, then you likely have your favorite place to go. Each bar has its own distinct vibe, from super chill and divey, to super wild. Ocean Bar's popularity stems from its ability to fuse most bar-and-restaurant visitor's tastes into one space. If you're more the day crowd kind of person, come to 5pm happy hour or Sunday brunch. For the live music crowd, there are acoustic sets on Wednesday and Fridays. Any for a general, going out crowd, you have your crowded 2nd floor with a DJ, dance floor, and bar. If members of your party are feeling more chill, send them to the 3rd floor for some fireside lounging with an ocean view. For those of you super into the music scene, you'll appreciate the DJ lineup. KidCutUp, Dee Jay O, Fred Matters, and other talents spin it up at the venue. Libations are a big deal at this venue, which features cocktails, with fruit and veggie ingredients made from scratch. And because Abigaile's Restaurant and Brewery is connected to Ocean Bar, you can enjoy some good brew as well. This beach club scene definitely cannot be beat.

This venue is great for celebrating a birthday, and also for a date night. Bring quarters for metered parking, and if you plan on drinking, a night out here is definitely worth the cab money. The upstairs patio remains a hidden gem many nights; book it up there early to avoid crowds.

Clancy's in Long Beach has many claims to fame, including daily entertainment in the form of karaoke, live music, and sports games. The venue is also home to a Miller-Lite commercial, and was chosen because of its impressive, stone-brick layout. View
