A Mexican restaurant by day and "saloon" by night, this Calabasas landmark is a welcome anomaly in the affluent area. It's a party hot spot, where the tequila flows and the outdoor patio pops off on weekend nights with live rock bands. The venue is covered in kitsch, including wagon wheels and bull skulls, along with several TVs for sports watching. Tequila is the specialty here, and the cantina features an extensive selection for tastings and shots. There's also a big beer menu, with almost 40 brews on tap and another 20 by the bottle. Sagebrush offers a little something for everyone: poker nights, painting parties, Sunday brunch, line dancing lessons and magic shows. But for nightlife - on Friday and Saturday nights the venue becomes a dance club and fills with singles, students, and longtime Valley locals who are out for a laid-back good time. On Thursdays, the club gets a hillbilly feel with live country music bands - but Friday through Sunday, you'll hear rock (and its many incarnations) with DJ Cali and special guests each week. You'll also find tacos and tequila shot flights on Wednesday, and cheap margaritas on Monday.
