33 Taps is the new kid on the block when it comes to Hollywood sports bars, but that isn’t stopping it from quickly making a name for itself. This newly renovated bar and restaurant is reaping the benefits from its remodel in the form of tons of beer, great food and a whole slew of new customers.
When someone says "Hollywood sports bar" the usual image that comes to mind is a semi-grungy spot with rowdy fans and dirty floors. But, 33 Taps on Hollywood Boulevard is challenging all those preconceived ideas. Walking through the giant doors into this large space with extremely high ceilings, you immediately notice all the brand new state of the art flat screens, flanking the dark walls. But, you will also notice the tops of the dark wooden bar and host stands are made out of rich white marble, adding an air of classiness to the establishment. The place looks posh and modern without being pretentious. Singles and friends still feel totally at ease in their sports jerseys and shorts while they snack on fries, chili bread bowls, nachos, or even a plate of penne with sundried tomatoes. Fans keep the atmosphere light and fun as they weather the triumphs and losses of their respective teams, sampling the large variety of (you guessed it) tons of tap beers. The large island bar is flanked with customers ordering brew after frothy brew all from their overflowing long line of taps. If you aren’t a fan of fighting for a coveted spot at the sleek bar, you can always choose to head over to the other side of venue and actually sit down and do dinner while still being able to keep your eyes glued to one of their many TV screens. Regardless of which dining experience you choose, you still get to experience the best of what this place has to offer, which comes down to an awesome selection of tap beers, a sizeable menu to pick from, the perfect amount of TVs, and a pretty cool crowd of sports fans to hang around with.

33 Taps actually used to be the site of a Hollywood favorite spot: Dillon’s Irish Pub (which is in the process of relocating). The atmosphere is different now, but the place has still managed to keep some of the best parts about its predecessor on the p
If there is a game on, then 33 Taps is quickly becoming the place to be. So, if you want to make sure you can stake out a prime location by the bar (and all their flat screens), make sure you get there before the first pitch is thrown. That way, you will be able to enjoy watching your team do their thing while sipping on a cold brew without braving the standing room only crowd.
Sometimes Los Angeles can feel like one long endless parade of craft beers and snobby brews. Thankfully, there are havens like Hollywood's 33 Taps, where overwhelmed patrons can find solace in grabbing a pint of their favorite American beer. This isn't a dressed up sports bar or a themed athletic club, 33 Taps is your classic no fuss American watering hole. Here you can grab a beer and watch the game, and the only effort you have to put in to your "style" is which team your shirt is sporting. 33 Taps beers follow suit, offering their benefactors the old standbys like Sam Adams, Blue Moon and PBR. In fact, the closest they get to imported is pouring you a thick Guinness. Of course, it wouldn't be L.A. if they didn't have a few rotating taps, but this isn't the place you go to try new things. This is the place you go to connect with your roots and praise the beers of the good old U S of A and cheers your Coors Light to baseball and bald eagles.
